The frame A is preferably formed of inverted channel section, and the springs B are mounted upon the wheel axles and have at one or both ends studs b<1> which are free to slide in slots a<1> in the frame. The driving-wheel springs have both ends free, and an adjustable rod connexion is provided between the wheel axle and the frame on each side, to allow for chain adjustment. Friction rollers may be arranged upon the studs b<1>.
