Springs, arrangement of, and mounting bodies and undercarriages on. -The springs which give lateral support to the body or frame of the vehicle are arranged to form two compression members which are normallv in alinement and which serve to increase any vertical displacement of the body upon the bearing - springs. Fig. 2 shows the arrangement in connexion with the front axle. The springs f are enclosed in telescoping tubes d, e, the tubes d being pivoted to the axle pins c, and the tubes e being pivoted upon the bearing of the starting-handle h or to some other point of the vehicle body or frame. The tubes d in this arrangement are fitted with tubular dust sheaths d<2>. Fig. 4 shows the arrangement in connexion with the rear axle, the tubes d being pivoted to a bracket k upon the axle, and the tubes e being pivoted to the pneumatic suspension cylinders m.
