Abstract
24,804. Witter, J. C. Nov. 15. Cooling air.-Air is forced or drawn by means of a fan 31 through flat conduits 20, which are divided into separate tubes 200 by horizontal partitions, and are surrounded by a freezing- mixture, as shown in part sectional plan in Fig. 3. Guides 32 serve to direct the air into the tubes, which are fitted internally with corrugated baffle-plates 23 to delay the air in its passage. Stiffening-ribs 24, Fig. 4, act as guides for introducing the baffle-plates into the tubes. In a modification, corrugated tubes with straight baffles are employed.
