Seats and seatbacks.-A seat or chair for the tops of tramcars or for other purposes is constructed with a seat B pivoted at b to legs A, and with combined backs and legs C, C<1> arranged so that the wholecan be turned about the pivots b to reverse the seat, the parts C, C<1> serving alternately as the seat-back or as legs. Brackets D on the parts C, C<1> may be detachably connected to the seat at d so that the whole seat can be folded flat. The legs A may be spread out as shown for fixing them to the top of a tramcar.
