8472. Braime, T. F., and Braime, J. H. April 13. Paint and like cans.- The lugs C are made in one piece with the body A. The preferred form of can is stamped with a flanged portion I to strengthen the edge and a round-edged bottom to facilitate cleansing. If a foot-ring is required, the interior of the bottom is forced upwards a short distance. If the can is not stamped, the sides and lugs are formed from the same blank. Eyelets may be placed in the holes D through which the ends of the handle pass- The edges of the can, which are used for scraping purposes, may be folded over so as to give a double thickness.
