The upper edge of the blind d is hemmed to form a piping e, which, the end being removed, is passed through the slot c. A rod f is inserted in the piping to hold the blind within the roller and the end is replaced. To protect the rolled-up blind, a fixed outer casing g is provided, the blind passing through a slot. The casing may be held by a bracket i or by other means.
