Posts.-Tubular iron or steel brackets for supporting the insulators on telegraph and like posts are held in carriers made by bending flat plates into troughs preferably of U-shaped cross-section. The plate is formed with waved edges a', Fig. 2, for resting against the periphery of a tubular metal post b, or with points k, Fig. 6, for penetrating a wooden post. The carrier is held to the post by a single bolt e<2>, Fig. 6, which passes through the post as well as through the carrier, or by two bolts e, Fig. 2, and a clamping- barf secured by nuts g. The bracket c<2> may be clamped to the carrier by bolts and nuts j', as in Fig. 6, or by nuts d, Figs. 1 and 2. The dotted lines show the carrier applied to poles of other diameters.
