Abstract
24,362. Entwistle & Stephens, and Entwistle, A. H. Nov. 10. Lamp-shade holders.-Lamp shades for inverted incandescent gas lamps are constructed upon a wire frame which is supported from a gallery by means of cranked arms. The arms g, Fig. 3, may be pivoted upon struts e\ forming part of the frame, or to a ring attached to the frame and large enough to be passed over the globe. The ends g<2> of the arms may be bent down to engage the inner rim of the gallery. In another form, the arms g, Fig. 4, are pivoted to an inner ring e<2> and bear against an outer ring e. The tail-piece g<3> may be weighted so that on passing the shade upwards, over the globe, the arms are first depressed and then swing upwards to engage the gallery top.
