Abstract
23,658. Butcher, W. F., and Butcher, F. E. Oct. 31. Cameras lens fittings. -A series of isochromatic screens are adapted to the camera front so as to be conveniently adjusted in front of the lens aperture. The screens 2, Fig. 1, are arranged on the periphery of a sector plate 1 which is mounted on a central pivot 3, Fig. 2, and rotated by a milled head 6. A similar diaphragm 11 may also be mounted behind the screens and carry a series of magnifiers 12 for focussing at short distances. Spring arms 8, 16 engage notches 7, 15 on the edges of the diaphragms when the screen or magnifier indi. cated respectively by the pointers 9, 13 are in register with the lens aperture. Instead of having a revolving diaphragm; a sliding diaphragm may be arranged on the front of the camera and fitted with the screens adapted to register with the lens aperture.
