17,403. Smith, Sons, & Co., C., and Moore, J. F. Aug. 11. Door holders.- Relates to spring roller stops for holding open hinged doors, especially those made selfclosing by springs. The frame 1, secured in a mortice in the bottom of the door by screws passing through the base-plate 3, contains the fork 5, in which are slots 7, 8, carrying the pin 6 of the projecting roller 9. The roller is pressed down by the spring 14, and its position is adjusted by the nut 15, which is locked by the nut 18. The roller travels over the inclined. stop-plate 16, and engages behind the shoulder 17 to hold the door open. The stop-plate is screwed to the floor, or,.if the floor be of stone, is secured by the notched and dovetailed shank 19, leaded or cemented in the stone. The vertical motion of the roller is limited by the slots 7, 8, or by the nut 15.
