Abstract

6794. Brough, H. March 24. Vapour burners, chiefly for use on motor cars, consist of a cylindrical body and two opposite arms with parallel branches. Mixed fuel and air are passed into the cylindrical body through the iron-gauze or perforated plate k. The steel branch tubes e are preferably screwed into "pops" or bosses on the arms b and on the body, and are formed with slits or small holes g on their upper surface. Their outer ends are stopped by brass plugs which expand and fit tightly when heated.
