4464. Peters, C. Feb. 25. Gas-producers; firebars.-In the watergas producer shown in Fig. 1, the firebars a are hollow and are connected by circulating-pipes b, c with a reservoir d containing water. The steam generated rises into the upper part e of the reservoir d, where it mixes with air drawn in through a pipe at the side. This mixture of air and steam is drawn down through another pipe at the side into the asbpit and the upwards through the fire.
