3267. Koningh, J. de. Feb. 11. Studs; necktie retainers. -Relates to a collar stud, which will act also as a tie-clip and has the appearance of a jewelled scarf pin. To the back of the stud d is attached the shank f, preferably flat, which is forked and is formed with a hole i. A bar a<1> is pivoted at c, and bears at its ends cups b in which stones a may be set. When the bar is turned ready for inserting the stud in the buttonholes of the shirt and collar, one of the cups b fits into the hole i. In the position shown in the Figure, the bar a<1> serves to keep a necktie down, and resembles a scarf pin. A projection h prevents the bar a<1> from turning in a direction contrary to the arrows.
