4990. Doble, A. R. Feb. 27. Fuel-economizers; fire-irons.- An iron bar b of any shape, suspended by a chain c carried by a hook a hung on to one of the front bars, is placed in the fuel. When it gets red hot, it acts as a fuel-economizer. By its aid the fuel may be raised, the bar thereby taking the place of a poker.
