Appliances for securing to head.-Hats, toques, or bonnets are fastened on the head by a hair-pin c, Fig. 1, each leg of which is engaged with a chain a carrying a safety-pin b. Two of these appliances are used, the pins b being attached to the lining of the hat, and the pins c being engaged with the hair. The pins b may be replaced by studs fixed to the hat lining, the ends of the chains being engaged with the studs when the appliance is brought into use. Fig. 2 shows a modified form of hair-pin with double legs. In the case of a toque, the pins b may be engaged with the exterior of the head covering.
