10,695. Grivolas, C. May 23. Magic - lanterns; stereoscopes.- Relates to arrangements for producing a stereoscopic effect with kinematographic pictures. The photographs are taken with a stereoscopic camera, and the right and left hand negative strips so produced are cut up and arranged alternately in proper order to form a single strip from which a positive is produced. The strip J is then placed in a kinematograph of the type described in Specification No. 27,038, A.D. 1897, but fitted with an obturating screen formed with two opaque parts o, o<1> and sections R, B of red and blue glass respectively. This obturator rotates in synchronism with the movement of the film so that the alternate pictures are projected of different colour, the pictures being viewed by the spectators through eyeglasses with glasses of corresponding colours. Other complimentary colours may be used in place of red and blue. In some cases instead of using a coloured screen the alternate pictures of the film are coloured red and blue.
