Abstract
9959. B÷hm, E. May 14. Incandescent lamps.-A bulb is ribbed spirally, as shown in section, by blowing it from tube, in or on which a coiled glass rod has been placed. The ribs A may be separated by spaces which may be coloured or silvered ; the ribs may be made hollow, and with concave or flat faces. The upper half of the bulb may consist of plain opal glass. The ribs are intended to act as lenses. The Provisional Specification states that the invention is particularly applicable to conical bulbs, the light being concentrated in the direction of the apex.
