Abstract

19,387. Boult, A. J., [Dodshon, F. G.]. Oct. 30. Waterproof coats.-Relates to methods of making cheap waterproof coats so that few separate pieces of fabric and a correspondingly-limited number of seams are required. Fig. 1 shows the half pattern of the coat, which is shown in rear view in Fig. 2 and in front view in Fig. 3, A being the front, B the back, C the shoulder part, and D the sleeve, the only seams required being a vertical back seam F, a transverse back seam G, a sleeve seam I, a scye seam H, and a short cuff seam K. The pattern may be modified in shape so that the seam G lies across the front instead of across the back. Fig. 6 shows a pattern from which the whole coat shown in Fig. 7 is made, B being the back part, A, A the front parts, C, C the shoulder parts, and D, D the sleeve parts, the only seams required being two side seams M, two sleeve seams 1, and two scye seams H. The collar E is in each case made of a separate piece of fabric.
