7274. Bogue, R. J. April 19. Stoppers; refilling, preventing.-The bottle neck is fitted with a seat a for the spherical valve c, which is held on the seat by the lining l, secured in position by the split spring ring p, or by cement &c. A tube b extends through the valve c, and projects through the aperture m in the lining, the chamber e at the upper end of the tube enclosing a float valve g. The tube b is adapted to register with the aperture h in the valve seat a, when the bottle is inverted for pouring out the contents, but the tube is normally held out of alignment with the aperture by the heavy ball k enclosed in the annular chamber j, so preventing refilling by pouring in liquid, or by immersing the bottle in the liquid. The float valve g prevents refilling by the method of exhausting the air from the bottle whilst the latter is held in an inverted position. The partitions n, o on the lining l prevent tampering with the valve.
