13,353. Tauveron, J. B. June 27. Stoppers refilling, preventing.-The bottle neck is formed with a seat 2 and guide ribs 4 for the float valve 3, which is normally held on its seat by the ball 5. The mouth of the bottle is fitted with a stopper 6, which is fixed in position by cement introduced i n t o the grooves 11 &c. The top of the stopper has a central aperture, which communicates through the inclined passages 8, 9 with the interior of the bottle, and is normally closed by an ordinary cork. The passages 8, 9 are shaped to prevent tampering with the valve by means of a wire &c. In a modification, a casing which encloses the valve &c., and also forms the valve seat, is cemented in the neck, and the bottom 7 of the stopper is formed with a recess adapted to receive the ball 5 when the bottle is inverted.
