Abstract
1549. Cohen, C. H. Jan. 24. Cigarette boxes.-Paper boxes for cigarettes and other small articles are formed from two blanks cut and scored as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the blank, Fig. 1, serving to form the box proper and the lid, and the blank, Fig. 2, the lining. The flaps of the blank, Fig. 1, which are shown shaded in diagonal lines, are glued, to secure the parts of the box and lid when set up, the neck i serving as a hinge for the lid. The blank, Fig. 2, is formed into a rectangular tube, without being glued or fastened, and is then inserted into the box, to serve as a shouldered lining, as shown in Fig. 6.
