Abstract

18,430. Hofmann, A. Sept. 12. Sensitized films.-Relates to a method of mounting a negative film on its support so that it can be separated after the negative is finished. The paper or other flexible support is coated with a layer of resin varnish, which has been rendered flexible by the addition of gluten, oils, &c. On the varnish, a coating of hardened gelatine is applied, and over this the sensitized coating. After the negative has been developed, fixed, &c. it is separated from its support by immersing it in alcohol.
