Abstract

12,818. Fry, S. G. June 5. Sensitized films.-Relates to a non-explosive and non-inflammable film consisting, in one form, of gelatine emulsion which is coated on to a support of paper or the like varnished with collodion. After printing, the gelatine may be squeezed on to a glass or other support, and allowed to dry. The paper is then detached by dissolving the collodion in methylated spirit. A double transfer may be effected by using gummed paper as an intermediate support. In another form, for negative purposes, a more or less thick coating is applied to the paper varnished with collodion, and this film is hardened with formalin and coated with sensitive emulsion. These films are then stripped from the paper support, and may be used for biographs or the like.
