15,869. Edwards, J. E. Aug. 3. Cream, separating.-Relates to an apparatus for separating cream by means of the addition of water to the milk. The vessel a is cylindrical, and is formed with a bottom sloping downwards to the outlet tap i. The bottom b is dished, and slopes upward from a central line to the sides. Water is added at the bottom of the vessel through a perforated pipe h in connection with the funnel g. The vessel is fitted with a glass gauge f. In working the apparatus, the water may be added to the milk through the funnel g, or the milk may be added to the water. The Provisional Specification states that the vessel may be provided with a perforated lid, which may be used as a strainer.
