The case a is formed with a screwed tube P which is secured inside the split end of the chain stay o by a clip n as shown. A nut r screwing on the tube P enables the tension of the chain l to be adjusted. The opening in the case a through which the driving-wheel axle passes is preferably elongated to allow of the distance apart of the wheels m and i' being adjusted.
