Boilers made in two or more sections, preferably of saddle type, placed one above the other and heated by one furnace only, are employed, one section supplying the hot water and another the low-pressure steam The boiler is shown in section in Fig. 1. Over one boiler A, another and larger boiler B is placed, the space between them acting as a flue from the furnace. A receiver E of suitable shape is formed on the outer boiler and arranged for generating lowpressure steam.
