Abstract

19,005. Borowski, G., and Dlougolentzki, S. de. Sept. 3. Steam-generator furnaces.-Water-tube sections G are arranged on each of, and above, the furnaces so that additional flues are formed by the spaces between the tubes of these sections and by the central space formed by the sections. In this space, batteries of air and steam heating pipes a, b may be placed. The furnace draught may be forced or natural. Where liqued fuel is used, an arch of refractory bricks protects the lower portions of the boiler. The heated air, passing into the front casing of the boiler, receives heat from the boiler and heats the greater portion of the return water pipe.
