Abstract

189,756. Pollock Pen Co., (Assignees of Pollock, R. T.). Nov. 30, 1921, [Convention date]. Reservoir pens.-A sealed ink cartridge 3, Fig. 2, is screw-threaded at the sealed end for attachment to a bushing 7, Fig. 1, in the end 20 of the barrel, and the feed-tube 8 extends through the bushing and is provided with a point 9 for puncturing and forcing inwards the sealing-cap 15 as the cartridge is being seated on the bushing. Bevelled seats 17, 18 are provided on the bushing and the cartridge to make a tight joint. The feed-tube is positioned in the end 20 of the barrel by means of a screw 13 to determine the flow of ink and also the position of the puncturing-point 9. Vent holes 19 are provided in the barrel 1 near the bushing 7. A screw cap 4 is provided at the rear end of the barrel to admit the cartridge.
