Abstract
29,299. Taylor, J., and Jameson, R. Dec. 10. Portable fastenings for doors. A plate a is attached on the inside of the frame by placing it in position and closing the door, causing teeth b to enter the frame. A flange a<1> on the plate carries a headed screwed pin c with a nut g and sleeve e. The sleeve has a lug f which is turned round out of the way to allow the door to close, and is then turned back and the nut screwed up to hold the lug against the door and prevent the latter from being opened from the outside. A shoulder h on the sleeve prevents it from turning when screwed up. When the door does not closely fit the frame. a flanged plate is similarly attached to the edge of the door.
