28,166. Bowden, T. Nov. 30. Advertising.-Rectangular frames A which carry stencilled advertisement slides, plates, or facias C on the four faces, are rotated intermittently by means of a tappet L on a continuously-rotating shaft K, which actuates a peg or star-wheel I on the axle D on which the frame A is mounted. The stencilled letters &c. may be covered with coloured or other fabric or material. The device is illuminated by electric or other lamps, the globes of which may be coloured. Several such frames A driven by one or more tappets may be geared together. The frames may be used on road vehicles or in shops &c., and their movement may be used to actuate an automaton to direct attention to the advertisements. Discs or devices in imitation of twinkling stars may also be similarly actuated.
