Abstract
22,976. Waggett, A. J. Oct. 7. Toy boats and ships. - The boats or yachts are formed of three main parts, a centre frame A, two side frames B, and two side skins C. The centre frame may be of the form shown, with keel a<1> and rudder a' formed therewith, or without the two latter, while a portion a', 4, 4, 4 may be cut out to lighten it. Each side frame is secured to the ends of the centre frame at b<1> and b'. The side frames are bevelled, as shown at b<4>, or rabbeted, as shown at b<3>, to receive the side skins, which are secured at a<5> to the centre frame ; or, if the keel is separate, to the lower bevelled edge of the centre frame. The deck is secured on the side frames and centre frame. In a modification, the centre frame is simply a curved bottom strip with end blocks.
