Abstract

21,557. Chapman, G. T. Sept. 21. Stands for bicycles. A standard is composed of three members A, B, C ; the members A and B have their ends bent to form legs A<1> and B<1>, and the other member C is pivoted between these members to form a third leg. A thumb-screw serves to secure the member C in position, and may also serve, by engaging with the holes d, e, to hold the member in a folded position. The upper end of the member B is curved at E to receive the chain stay of the machine, and may be padded. A padded hook J, adapted to receive the seat-pillar tube of the machine, forms part of a slotted device H which is secured to the member A. This hook may be folded when not in use. Fig. 4 shows the stand supporting a bicycle.
