Abstract
8933. Neville, C. W. April 8. Stoppers. - Relates to means for drawing-off liquids from stoneware or other jars or similar vessels. The vessel is formed with a tapped boss a to receive the hollow plug cock d, and a passage g is formed in the boss for the discharge of the liquid. The cock d is formed with a delivery aperture f, which, by rotating the cock, can be brought to coincide with the passage g. The cock may be provided with a sleeve e of cork &c., and may be secured in position by wiring. It may also be fitted in the ordinary neck of the vessel, the passage g being formed in the side of the neck.
