Abstract
6401. Schr÷der, A. March 11. Bottles etc.; stoppers.-In order to catch and retain any drip, the neck of the bottle or the like is formed with a slanting gutter a, which communicates through one or more passages b with the interior of the vessel. When a stopper is used, it is cut away, as shown at c, so that, when this part is brought to coincide with the passage b, any liquid caught in the gutter is allowed to flow back into the vessel.
