Abstract
6060. Rider, A. G., and Russel, E. March 8. Windows.-Relates to sashes arranged to fit one over the other in the same plane, when closed, as described in Specification No. 11,328, A.U. 1895. The inside linings or portions a, a<1> of the box frame are hinged to turn inwards to allow the sashes to swing inwards, and are secured in place by thumb-screws. The sash cord at each side of the frame is attached at one end to an angle-iron or projecting plate f at the lower corner of the bottom sash, passes over a pulley at the windowhead, below a pulley carried by a balance weight, over another pulley in the pulley stile, and is fixed to the centre of the upper sash stile by a metal plate. An angle-iron parting-bead h. let into the pulley stile, extends half way up the frame.
