Abstract

188,422. Burgess, C. L. Aug. 26, 1921. Fire-bars.-A fire-bar a is provided with a longitudinal groove b which may have undercut sides b<2> for the reception of fire-clay or other refractory material c. As shown, a deep layer of this material is provided covering the whole top surface of the bar, while in modifications a thin layer is provided, or the material is cut off flush with the top of the bar. Side plates may be provided in the sides of the bar for the passage of air. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 6643/10.
