Abstract

185,760. Bergsma, J. J. Sept. 12, 1921, [Convention date]. Washes &c.-A composition suitable when thinned by the addition of water, for application in thin layers to the surface of wood, metals, &c. consists of disintegrated bark, a suitable organic or inorganic binder, and if desired filling agents. According to an example raw bark is lixiviated hot, pressed, dried, and disintegrated and mixed with 2 parts by weight of Portland cement, and 0.5 part of infusorial earth. Diluted molasses is added to produce a pappy mass which may be applied to wood, metal, &c. for insulating purposes. The Portland cement may be replaced by brick dust and sand. The bark of the! " djati " is specified. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 776/76, 845/77, and 663/80, [all in Class 70, India-rubber &c.], 6004/84, [Class 64, Heating], 2442/07, and 151,977 and 167,328, [both in Class 70, India-rubber &c.].
