Abstract

185,656. Richardson, J. Oct. 18, 1921. Setting and drawing appliances for ovens.-A device, for use in connection with ovens or hotplates for lifting, turning, or withdrawing pastry, hot plates, or the like, comprises a frame A, having a handle B and formed, in the example shown, from a piece of wire the ends of which are flattened and joined together at the front C of the frame. The latter carries a crosspiece E to which is pivoted, at F, a revolving plate D which is rotated by a curved lever G. attached to a stud H on the underside of the plate D and extending some distance down the handle B. In operation, the flattened front end of the device facilitates insertion under the article, which may then be turned by operating the lever G or lifted and withdrawn altogether from the oven or hot-plate.
