Abstract

185,172. Porter, A. J. May 24, 1921. Planting-tools.-A dibble comprises two hollow conical portions, a, b, pivoted at c by the ears a<1> and having tongues a<2>, b<1> of uniform width and with straight edges. The handles e, d are riveted to the tongues and to the conical portions, the upper edges of which are substantially at right-angles to the handles, in order that foot-pressure may be used. The distance between the ears a<1> is preferably greater than that between the tongues a<2>, b'; and the point portion may be elongated parallel to the axis joining the pivots c so that a rectangular hole is formed on opening the two parts a, b. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 10504/18, 113,872 and 115,715.
