Ear instruments and hearing appliances. - A concentrator cap 6 for fitting to the mouthpiece 5 of a telephone transmitter or the larger end of an ear trumpet is made of elastic material such as india-rubber, and is attached thereto by means of a spigot portion 8 and a flange 9 which grip the wall. The cap has a single central aperture 7 or a number of small apertures. The Provisional Specification describes modifications in which only the flange is of elastic material, or is made resilient by the provision of slits, the remainder of the cap being made of hard rubber, non-oxidizable metal, or other suitable material.
