Driving external machines.-A pulley 12 is mounted loosely on a transverse shalt 4 and may be clutched thereto when it is desired to diive external machinery. The shaft 4 rotates in bearings in a support 5 having a boss 11 on which the pulley rotates and slides until clutch teeth 14 on the pulley engage corresponding teeth on a part 13 fixed to the shaft. The movement of the pulley is effected by a handle 21, arms 23 and links 24, and the handle is held in its set positions by a spring pin 29.
