Pivoting - adjustments for wind-screens of the type in which the glass portion 1 of the screen is mounted within an H-sectioned metal frame 3 carried by a member 4 rotatable about a supporting-rod 5 fixed to the body of the vehicle comprise friction blocks 9, 10 which are forced into engagement with the opposite sides of the rod 5 when the nut 12 is tightened. The blocks are flattened at their lower edges so as not to rotate, and at the upper side the block 10 has a shoulder 11 which binds upon the face of the frame 3 when the nut is tightened, thereby contracting the tube around the rod.
