Abstract

422,019. Door stops. HARTEMINK, H., 116, Van Speykstraat, PRINS, P. L., 115, Beethovenstraat, both in Amsterdam, and NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PLAATMETAALINDUSTRIE VAN MOUWERIK & BAL, de la Reylaan, Zeist, both in Holland. Jan. 25, 1934, No. 2573. Convention date, May 3, 1933. [Class 65 (i)] A door or like buffer comprises a body of rubber or like elastic material held in a casing from which part of it projects, the size of the casing being such that the rubber has substantial line contact with the casing at two spaced places at least, with clearance at other parts which is partially or completely filled by the rubber when deformed. In the form shown, a circular rubber block 6 is held in an angular casing 5 which touches the block at four points and leaves spaces in the corners ; the block is further secured by a pin 7 passing through a clearance hole in its centre. The casing may be of various shapes, and in one modification it is circular, the rubber block having flattened sides to provide the necessary clearance. The hole for the pin may be elongated in one direction.
