Abstract

182,040. Machado, W. C., and Gymnaitis, D. Sept. 21, 1921. Grease cups in which the pressure on the grease is automatically maintained as t h e grease is consumed. An upper member 5 and a lower member 1 are oppositely flanged at 2 and 6 and have a spring 8 interposed between the flanges. A spring-pressed valve is fitted to the closure cap 10 of the upper member to facilitate the introduction of grease without removing the cap. The rate of discharge is controlled by a screw 18 fitted in a threaded nipple 3, the bore of which communicates with the interior of the cap.
