Abstract

180,815. Bury, E., and Wilkinson, J. March 29, 1921. Selvedge shedding-mechanism.- The two treadles e, f controlled by the ordinary tappets c, d and operating the main heald mechanism are connected by straps i, j to an additional shaft q which operates the selvedge mechanism by means of a tape l passing round a collar k mounted centrally or otherwise on the shaft. Two such tapes l, one at each end of the shaft, may be used. According to the Provisional Specification, straps or cords &c., each attached to the shaft g or to a collar, head, disc, or arm thereon, may be used.
