Receptacles, detachably securing to flat bases.- A device for attaching a parcel to the carrier of a cycle comprises a number of extensible bands a formed of rubber, wire springs, &c. connected together, as by a ring b, and having means, such as hooks c or rings or a strap f at their outer ends for connection to the carrier d or adjacent parts of the frame. The bands a, instead of being attached to the ring b, may be vulcanized to a cross-shaped connecting-piece of moulded rubber &c., or two overlapping bands may be employed, united where they cross by a slotted connecting- plate, through which they are threaded.
