Abstract
179,657. Reyrolle & Co., Ltd., A., Clothier, H. W., and Linstow, F. N. Feb. 10, 1921. Oil switches; switch mechanism interlocked with lids.-A main oil-break switch has a fixed main contact C<1> at one end of a conductor C which enters through the side of the main oiltank A and terminates outside that tank in a socket C<2> in the oil-immersed tank H. An oilimmersed bus-bar connection G has a socket G' in line with the socket C<2>, and plug connection J between the two is operated from outside the tank. A switch suitable for three-phase systems is shown. After isolating the main switch by means of the plug J, the contact C<1> is earthed by means of a switch K. The operating-mechanism for this switch is interlocked with the isolating-plug mechanism and further, the isolating mechanism is interlocked with the main tank lid A<1>. In addition, the isolating and main switch mechanisms are interlocked. In the arrangement shown in 3, the bus-bar connections G are in a separate tank L.
