Appliances for illuminating cavities.-A combined cystoscope and urethroscope is provided with two lamps for illuminating the bladder and the urethra respectively. In Fig. 1, lamps c are shown arranged in the urethroscopic member a and the cystoscopic member b respectively. Fig. 2 shows a modification in which both lamps are in the urethroscopic member, and Fig. 3 a further modification in which one lamp is arranged as shown in Fig. 2 and the other is carried by a springy bracket d secured to the open end of the cystoscopic part b and adapted to spring into the position shown when the cystoscope b has passed through the outer tube of the instrument.
