Doors; trivets.-The fire-door 29 of a domestic stove or boiler, as described in Specification 178,955, comprises two metal grid-plates 31, 32, the bars of which are preferably narrow, which clamp between them a sheet of mica or the like 33. The door pivots on curved lugs 28 and is retained horizontal in the open position by a projection 30, which engages the dead-plate 24. The inner grid-plate 32 then serves as a trivet. The stove front 22, against which the door rests, slopes backwardly so that the door lies in the closed position by its own weight. The door can be removed by lifting it off the projections 28, and carries a spiral wire handle 34. A detachable grid plate 35, fitting between lugs 36, serves to keep the fuel out of contact with the door.
