Abstract
179,037. Everitt, J. March 21, 1921. Combined presses and stretchers. - In a stretcher fitting for a trouser press a revoluble loop c is pivoted at d<1> in a frame a hinged at a<2>. After the ends of the trousers are passed through the loop, the loop is given a part rotation and is then fixed in position by a forked embracing stop f<2>, which slides on the part a<4> of the frame. Rotation about the part a<2> completes the stretching. According to the Provisional Specification, a ratchet arrangement may be employed for maintaining the frame in position during stretching.
